ShooWin officially launched hundreds of thousands of ticket reservations on its state-of-the-art online marketplace. ShooWin.com now features the College Football Playoff National Championship, all New Year’s Six Bowls, five College Football Conference Championships, the entire NFL postseason, MLB’s divisional championships, and the World Series. The launch follows the announcement of ShooWin appointing a new CEO, raising a significant capital investment, and acquiring an extensive portfolio of intellectual property.
ShooWin is an emerging leader in the $56 billion sports event industry that includes sports tickets, transportation, and food and beverage. A 2017 survey that sampled over 1,000 adults determined Americans spent $100 billion on sports with over half of it ($56 billion) on live sporting events.
Despite the size of the ticketing industry, today’s ticket marketplace is overwhelmed with multiple vendors selling the same inventory, making it challenging for rights holders to reach their real fans. The frustration extends to the fans who are outpriced or encounter limited inventory to see their favorite team in a playoff or championship game.
“ShooWin gives teams, leagues, and conferences an opportunity to connect year-round with their fanbase. ShooWin’s competitive pricing model gives all fans, not just season ticket holders, the access to see their favorite teams in a playoff or championship game. ShooWin is completely changing the way real fans are seeing their teams in the biggest games,” says David Lane, CEO.
ShooWin had its best performing year in 2017 and projects to increase revenue by over 500% in 2018. According to Statista, 2018 sports events ticketing revenue is expected to be $4.4B, up 10% from 2017 and growing to $5.8B in 2022.
ShooWin is an online sports ticket marketplace that sells reservations for highly anticipated, contingent playoff and championship games, allowing fans to purchase tickets at face value. ShooWin offers tickets for sporting events like the Super Bowl, College Football Playoff National Championship, Stanley Cup, and NBA Finals. Fans choose the team, seating section, and the number of tickets. ShooWin collects the reservation fee and when the team makes the game, the fan receives the tickets at face value. ShooWin guarantees its partners that every ticket is purchased, shares the reservation revenue, and provides valuable fan data throughout the year.
